Here I stand, waiting to die,
As the woman I loved bade me goodbye.
It doesn’t matter how hard I try,
There is nothing I can do but simply cry.
I loved her right from the moment I met her eyes,
Clear and serene, just like the blue skies.
My heart skipped beats, failing to reprise.
Oh I knew for sure she was beyond compromise.
Suddenly, I found myself in a land unknown.
Oh how can I explain? My mind was blown!
I craved for her and wandered alone,
Tripping, falling and fighting on my own.
Later she came, her face so bright,
Pivoting the shade into a joyous sight.
She looked at me and sensed my plight.
And then, she smiled and touched me with delight.
